Burnley have signed winger Nathan Redmond on a free transfer.
The newly-promoted club were in advanced talks to sign Redmond earlier this week and the 29-year-old has now agreed a two-year contract at his new side, with the option of a third.
Redmond had been without a club after leaving Turkish Super Lig side Besiktas at the end of last season.
“I always had aspirations to play again in the Premier League,” Redmond said. “Burnley’s project matches with my ambitions.
“The management team feel like they can enhance my game more and see the value I can bring on and off the field. It feels like a perfect match.”
Redmond is the latest addition to Vincent Kompany’s Burnley squad as they prepare for their return to the English top flight. James Trafford signed from Manchester City on Thursday and Zeki Amdouni joined from Basel earlier this week, with Dara O’Shea and Lawrence Vigourorux also completing moves to Turf Moor. Michael Obafemi and Jordan Beyer have also returned on permanent deals after loan spells at Burnley last season.
“Nathan brings a wealth of experience from playing in the Premier League and more recently from his time in Turkey where he’s been outstanding,” Kompany added. “We’re looking forward to playing a big part in his next chapter.
“He’s got a great work ethic, plenty of skill and a willingness to continue learning. He also brings his personality and character to this football club which will benefit the younger players here.”
Redmond scored six goals in 28 appearances for Besiktas, having previously spent six years at Southampton and three each at Norwich City and Birmingham City.

Where will Redmond fit in at Burnley?
Redmond will add depth to Burnley’s wide midfield positions which were depleted by Nathan Tella’s return to parent club Southampton at the end of his loan.
They have been looking to add wingers all summer, and the 29-year-old will provide competition to Anass Zaroury and Manuel Benson as he can operate on both flanks.
He will be asked to provide width, creativity and offer intensity as part of Burnley’s high press.
Fellow free agent Andros Townsend has been training with club, who are also closing in on completing a deal for young Espanyol winger Luca Koleosho. Burnley also retain an interest in re-signing Tella.
