Manchester United still have Feyenoord shot-stopper Justin Bijlow on their radar in the ongoing transfer window, according to 1908.nl (h/t Manchester Evening News).

The Red Devils have signed Andre Onana from Inter Milan this summer. Against Real Madrid on 27 July at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, the Cameroonian played his first minutes for the Old Trafford side.

However, despite the addition of the 27-year-old, United are open to adding another goalkeeper to their ranks in the coming weeks. To that end, the Manchester-based club continue to ‘hold an interest’ in the Rotterdam-based club’s Holland international.

Before the addition of Onana, the Old Trafford side were looking to acquire the services of Bijlow. The Red Devils are still being linked with the 25-year-old’s signature.

Feyenoord won the Eredivisie title under Arne Slot last season. The goalkeeper was a key player for the Rotterdam-based club. In 34 appearances in all competitions for them, the Holland national kept 15 clean sheets.

Unfortunately, injuries have hampered Bijlow’s game time and development ever since breaking into Feyenoord’s first team in the 2018/19 term. The 25-year-old missed a big chunk of the previous campaign as well.

At United, David de Gea was the number one last season. However, the 32-year-old’s contract expired last month and he is a free agent as things stand. Other options at Erik ten Hag’s disposal include Tom Heaton and Dean Henderson.

However, it would not be a surprise to see both of the English nationals leave the club this summer. Game time at the Old Trafford side has been hard to come by for them over the years.

Therefore, if we lose numbers in the goalkeeping department in the coming weeks, reinforcements will be needed. Will Bijlow be the one to make his way to the Red Devils this summer? Only time will tell.
