Lionel Messi’s arrival in the MLS has meant fans around the world are desperate to get their hands on an Inter Miami shirt

Lionel Messi has been a huge hit for Inter Miami

Inter Miami and Lionel Messi have been making headlines across the globe since his arrival in MLS.

Ever since the Argentine superstar made the move to David Beckham’s Inter Miami from PSG he has lit up Major League Soccer with a string of stunning performances in which he has bagged an incredible 11 goals. Messi has helped Inter Miami, who had the worst record in the league prior to his arrival, to cup success and now an unbeaten run in the domestic competition as they look to climb the table and put themselves in contention.

Since he first joined the MLS the demand for an Inter Miami shirt has been like never before. Front Office Sports reported in July that the hype surrounding Messi’s arrival meant that Adidas had been facing “unprecedented” demand for the Inter Miami shirt.

As a result of the clamour for an Inter Miami jersey there was reportedly a backlog in orders meaning anyone who wanted a Messi shirt had to wait until October. With orders still being taken it means that anyone who wants to get their hands on a Miami shirt should claim one now before they sell out next month and another backlog arises.

Messi has had a deal with Adidas since 2007 and is one of the company’s most bankable stars. Messi’s signing has seemingly turned the image of the whole club around and Miami are now in a far removed place from the position they found themselves in June after sacking former manager Phil Neville. Since Miami’s new found Messi led success, names such as Prince Harry as well a host of A-List stars including Leonardo DiCaprio and Selena Gomez have been spotted at Inter Miami games.

The pink home shirt and sleek black away strip have become some of football’s most wanted shirts in the past few months and fans will now have a chance to get one as adidas and Fanatics are taking orders.
