Jadon Sancho could be trying to make up with Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag ahead of the return of the Premier League following weeks of high tensions between the two
Jadon Sancho has deleted his tweet criticising Erik ten Hag
Manchester United supporters believe Jadon Sancho is trying to make peace with Erik ten Hag after noticing his recent activity on social media.
Sancho and Ten Hag have been locked in a feud ever since the United boss left the winger out of his squad to face Arsenal. Ten Hag said Sancho had been excluded from the travelling party due to poor performance in training.
The England international immediately pushed back against the comments, calling them “completely untrue” and accusing Ten Hag of making him a “scapegoat”. The row has escalated over the past few weeks, with Mirror Football reporting that Sancho could push to leave in the January transfer window.
However, fans have spotted that after nine days, Sancho has now deleted his post, with his most recent post on X, formerly known as Twitter, coming from August 6 after the final game of pre-season. United supporters have suggested that his decision may suggest the 23-year-old is trying to reconcile with his manager.
Sancho’s original post said: “Please don’t believe everything you read! I will not allow people saying things that is completely untrue. I have conducted myself in training very well this week. I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won’t go into, I have been a scapegoat for a long time which isn’t fair! All I want to do is play football with a smile on my face and contribute to my team.
“I respect all decisions that are made by the coaching staff, I play with fantastic players and grateful to do so which I know every week is a challenge. I will continue to fight for this badge no matter what!”

His comments came after Ten Hag said: “On his performance on training we didn’t select him. You have to reach the level every day at Manchester United. You can make choices in the front line, so in this game, he wasn’t selected.”
Sancho has remained at Carrington during the international break, having not been selected by Gareth Southgate for the England squad. United’s next match is against Brighton in the Premier League at Old Trafford on Saturday.
