After Kalvin Phillips recently said he is “going to make a decision” on his future over the next few months, we asked you if you thought the 27 year-old had a future at Manchester City.

Here are some of your answers:

Alfie: Phillips is a great player when match fit. Unfortunately for him, he’s come to City and Rodri is the best holding midfielder in the world. Chances are few for Phillips - and when his chance does come he doesn’t always shine. Probably best to move on for him, which is a shame.

Geoffrey: I think that for the sake of Phillips’ football career he should move on and City should use either Ake or Gvardiol when Rodri isn’t available or is in need of rest.

Lee: For whatever reason Pep just won’t start with him. I thought he was a good signing at the time. Rodri is first name on the teamsheet for me. I’d like to see him stay but if he moves on so do we. We’ve replaced better players than Kalvin.

Wayne: Phillips was a mistake purchase. He does not fit in. He is more of a holding midfield player rather than a creative one.

Mark: I like Phillips but he seems a bit lost at City.

Smithy: I’d love to see Phillips get into the side and get more regular game time, but he’s up against the absolute best player in the world in his position in Rodri. When he does come on he looks like he’s just trying not to make mistakes and there’s a nervousness when he’s on the ball. Whether he stays or goes, I hope he makes the best of it.
