Ten Hag hails Maguire after Man Utd beat Copenhagen
Rasmus Hojlund has stressed that he is still finding his feet at Manchester United following his £72million summer transfer.
Hojlund, 20, became the Red Devils’ marquee summer capture from Atalanta in the transfer window after being identified as a top target by Erik ten Hag. However, the Denmark international has endured a mixed start to life at Old Trafford.
The striker has plundered three goals in as many games in Europe but has yet to break his duck in the Premier League, where he has failed to register a goal or an assist in six games so far. But Hojlund is adamant that his best is yet to come as he continues to adapt to life at a new club in a new country.
“In the end, I am only 20 years old and I am not the finished article yet,“ Hojlund said after the Copenhagen match. “I still have a lot to improve and I am getting there slowly. It (his start) has been alright. I’ve tried my best every time I play, and I still need to find the rhythm.“
He also referenced his partnership with Marcus Rashford as an example of how his teammates are beginning to understand how to get the best out of him. He added: “You can see we are trying to find each other. In the Sheffield (United) game, he nearly got an assist for me and I think he has already assisted me twice in the Champions League.
“We are definitely trying to find each other on the pitch and I also tried to find him with a deep pass against Copenhagen, so we have a good connection. I improve every day and my team-mates are starting to see my patterns in the game as well, so it is getting better and better every day.”

However, United legend Paul Scholes still has some concerns over the likes of Rashford and Antony and their ability to provide Hojlund with the service he needs to thrive at Old Trafford.
Speaking on TNT Sports, Scholes said of Hojlund: “It takes a lot to fill that shirt, but he’s a very young player. He’s not got a great goal-scoring record as of yet, but he’s getting into great positions,’ Scholes said on TNT Sports.
“He needs to find out what kind of centre-forward he is: is he more of a Ruud van Nistelrooy or an Alan Shearer-type player? For me, he’s more of a Shearer, where he’s going to want balls crossed into him.

“The only problem with that is United don’t really have wide players that cross the ball – [Marcus] Rashford doesn’t, Antony tries to cut inside and shoot every single time, but [Sergio] Reguilon can cross a ball. Luke Shaw is to come back as well.
“I think he can be an aggressive centre-forward that scores those Alan Shearer-type goals, not that he’ll… well, I hope he scores as many as he did!”
