Eriksen opens up on incoming Man Utd forward Hojlund

Manchester United are set to crank up their summer spending with a big money deal for Rasmus Hojlund.

The Red Devils have been on the hunt for a new striker all summer and have agreed a deal with Atalanta for the Danish forward. They are set to pay £72m for his signature. Once the move is finalised, Hojlund will become United’s third signing of the summer after Mason Mount and Andre Onana from Chelsea and Inter Milan. There could well be even more arrivals after all of that.

Take a look at all of the rumours coming out of Old Trafford over the past 24 hours:

Al-Hilal eye Amrabat hijack

Once a deal for Hojlund is confirmed, the Red Devils then look set to turn their attention to the signing of Moroccan midfielder Sofyan Amrabat. The Fiorentina star has been identified as a potential recruit over the final month of the transfer window.

However, a deal might be easier said than done. According to French outlet L’Equipe, Saudi side Al-Hilal are aiming to sign him.

It is suggested that they would like to finalise his arrival sooner rather than later. Al-Hilal have already signed an array of stars this summer including Riyad Mahrez, Roberto Firmino and Allan Saint-Maximin.

Evans in line for extended deal

One man who has already put pen to paper on a deal with Man United this summer is former Red Devil Jonny Evans. The former Leicester and West Brom defender penned a short-term contract with the side in order to play in a couple of pre-season matches.

However, he could yet be in line for a longer stay. According to The Sun, Evans could potentially earn a contract until the end of the season.

It has been suggested that he has left Erik ten Hag and his coaching staff impressed with the 35-year-old. His leadership qualities and his ability to play out from the back are among his assets that have caught the eye during United’s pre-season tour of the US.

Kovar eyed for fresh loan deal

Red Devils goalkeeper Matej Kovar looks primed for another loan stint away from Old Trafford. That is according to Czech outlet Idnes, who state that United are working on once again sending him out on a temporary basis.

It is suggested that Hull City are among the sides interested in taking Kovar on loan, whilst Premier League rivals Aston Villa are apparently eyeing a permanent swoop. The 23-year-old also has interest from Spanish side Cadiz.

Kovar spent last season with Sparta Prague and they were keen to sign him once again but failed to agree a deal with the Red Devils - something that has left former Arsenal star Tomas Rosicky irritated.
