John Terry has found himself in the middle of a social media feud with Fulham fans after reacting to a post mocking his tears in his final ever appearance in senior football.
Terry spent the vast majority of his time with Chelsea - historic and local rivals to Fulham - winning 17 trophies including a Champions League and five Premier Leagues.
His final ever fame however came at Wembley with Aston Villa - where he spent his final season in 2017-18 - in a campaign that saw the Midlands club reach the Championship final, only to be beaten by Fulham 1-0.
He has also been linked with a first managerial position with Saudi Pro League side Al-Shaddab in recent days, as he looks to make the transition to the dugout having held a number of assistant roles.
But he has provoked the anger of Cottagers fans on social media after responding to a post on X which directly made fun of the former England captain.

Terry was however quick to respond, making light of the subject by writing: ‘I have won more trophies since I retired than Fulham have in 50 years.
‘One team in London and it will NEVER be Fulham!’
But rather than quash the squabble there and then, Terry’s words inspired a hilarious comeback from Fulham’s own admin.
The account retorted with a GIF of The Inbetweeners’ Jay Cartwright, suggesting the former centre back had been rattled, have been provoked to respond.
And Cottagers supporters were quick to applaud their admin’s efforts, rushing to the comments to show their approval.
One wrote: ‘Best thing admin have done,’
Another echoed the sentiment: ‘Brilliant from the admin!!!’
A third said: ‘Brilliant. My club.’

A fourth was quick to point out that despite Terry’s response, Fulham actually finished above their historic rivals in the top-flight last term, adding: ‘Someone remind Terry that they finished below Fulham last season.’
And a fifth concluded: ‘Love you admin.’
In 26 meetings in his playing days, Terry only lost to Fulham three times, beating them on 17 occasions.
